Gustavus Alaska
Getting there: Almost all of you are going to get to Gustavus via small plane: Air Excursions and Fijord Flying. They have agreed to give us a discount fare, so give them a call to arrange your flight (907) 697-2375. This is a beautiful flight, and an Alaska experience in its own right. Check out services below.
Getting Back: Almost all of you (there is room for 120) are heading back to Juneau on the 28th by Allen Marine catamaran. Make sure that you are at the Gustavus Dock (pictured above!) by 12:30 for a 1:00 pm departure. We will be back in Juneau by 3:15 pm.
Where to stay: At first we had places booked for all of you, but now we are having some problems with housing falling through. If you are a relative, we have a place for you right now all set. If you are coming from further away than Alaska, we will surely have something arranged by the time you get here. If you want to know where you will be staying, please email Meilani or Sander to find what Gustavus housing we have arranged for you.
Getting Arround: The Bear Track Inn and some of the guesthouses have transportation although at the point of writing they were unlikely to drive people back to their lodging at night. We also have a number of cars reserved so people can drive back home but this requires somebody to remain sober - and that is not what we had planned! In the meantime have a look at the map of Gustavus to find your guesthouse.
Activities on the Day of the Wedding: Well, the wedding isn't until 3:00 pm on the 27th, and now, we wouldn't want you to be bored, now would we! Below are activities you can book for the morning of the wedding. The more expensive they are, the more in advance you would need to book them.
